Port's Pitching
Starter, James Simmons earned the game 1 win after going 7 innings and allowing 4 runs on 5 hits. Relief pitcher, Seth Frankoff earned the save in game 1 after going to hit less innings. He also pitched 1 inning in game 3 and allowed an unearned run on 1 hit. TJ Walz went 2.1 innings in game 2 and gave up 2 hits, but no runs. David Mota pitched one hit less inning in game 2. Jonathan Joseph earned the game 3 after throwing a hit less inning. He also pitched a score less inning in game 4. Pedro Vidal earned the game 3 save after going an inning while allowing one run on 3 hits. He also pitched .1 innings in game 4 and allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, on 3 hits. Josh Bowman earned the game 4 win after going 5 strong innings of 3 hit baseball. Jake Brown earned the game 4 save after going .2 innings without allowing a hit. He also appeared in game 3, going .2 innings and allowing 2 runs on 2 hits.
Quake's Pitching
Relief pitcher, Raydel Sanchez went 2.1 innings in game one and allowed just one hit. Starter, Jarret Martin earned the win in game 2 after going 5 innings and allowing 2 runs (a 2 run home run in the first) on 4 hits. Relief pitcher, Joel Lima pitched a one hit inning in game 1.
Roster Moves
Catcher, Pratt Maynard has been sent to the disabled list with a foot/ankle injury. Catcher, John Cannon has been activated to take Maynard's place on the roster for the time being. RHP, James Campbell had been placed on the disabled list with a knee injury. RHP, Carlos Fr
ias has been called up from the Loons to start in place of Campbell. Outfielder, Devin Shines has been placed on the disabled list and Pedro Guerrero has been recalled from AA to fill in for him.
Upcoming Games
The Quakes will play the first half California League South Champion, Lancaster JetHawks Thursday, 6/20- Sunday 6/23 in Lancaster. They will then go onto a three game series (6/24-6/26) against the 66ers in the Inland Empire. The Quakes return home for a 7 game hometsand against the JetHawks, Thursday, 6/27- Sunday 6/30 and the 66ers, Monday, 7/1- Wednesday 7/3.
