Quakes's Pitching
Relief pitcher, Matt Shelton went 1.2 innings in game 1 and only allowed 1 hit. In game 2, outfielder turned pitcher, Blake Smith made his second appearance, going .1 innings and allowing 2 runs, neither of them earned, on 1 hit. Freddie Cabrera went 1.2 innings in game 2 and allowed 2 hits. Jarret Martin went an inning in game 2 and did not allow a hit or a run. Dodgers,s pitcher, Ted Lilly made his 5th rehab start of the year with the Quakes for game 3 and went 5.1 innings and allowed 6 runs on 9 hits. He had a rocky start, but struck out the final batter he faced for a total strikeout count of 7, earning him his first win a Quakes uniform this season. Dan Coulombe came in to relieve him and allowed 1 hit in 1.1 innings of work. Joel Lima earned the game 3 save after going 2.1 innings and allowing 2 hits.
Mavericks's Pitching
Starter, Stephen Landazuri earned the game 1 win after going 6 innings and allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. Starter, Cam Hobson earned the game 2 win after going 6 innings and allowing 1 run on 4 hits. Relief pitcher, Dominic Leone threw 1.1 innings of 2 hit baseball in game 2. Jeremy Dobbs went 3 innings and allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits in game 3.
Roster Moves
Outfielder, Bobby Coyle has been placed on the disabled list. Starting pitcher, Angel Sanchez has been traded to the Miami Marlins as well as former Quake, Steven Ames and former 66er, Josh Wall, for pitcher Ricky Nolasco.
Upcoming Games
The Quakes have a 3 game set against the Inland Empire 66ers in San Bernardino and will then return home on Wednesday for a special 11:35 start time game against the Mavericks.
