In the 6th series of the year between the Quakes and the 66ers, the Quakes really stepped up to the plate and made some magic. Before this series, the Quakes were either swept by the 66ers (twice) or lost the series by only winning 1 game. This time around, they would have none of that. They turned the tables and walked away with the series win. Even in the one game they lost, they showed they had some fight in them. They were down 8-2 in the top of the 9th, but would score 2 runs on 2 solo home runs to make the score 8-4, before accepting the loss. Overall, they racked up 15 runs, to Inland Empire's 11, and 27 hits, compared to the 66ers 31.

Right fielder, Scott Schebler went 4-13 with a triple. Shortstop, Darnell Sweeney went 4-10 with a double. Designated hitter/first baseman, O'Koyea Dickson went 2-11 with a home run. Catcher, Pratr Maynard went 1-7 with a double. First baseman/catcher, Webseter Rivas went 1-8 with a double. Second baseman, Pedro Guerrero went 3-8 with a home run. Quakes's Pitching
Starter, Jon Michael Redding earned the game 1 win after throwing 5.1 shutout innings while allowing 5 hits. Relief pitcher, Matt Shelton kept the shutout going by throwing 2.1 innings of 1 hit baseball. Eric Eadington earned the save after throwing 1.2 hitless innings. In game 2 of the series, Pedro Baez pitched 1 inning and allowed 1 hit. Game 3 winner, Guastvo Gomez had a great start, shutting out the 66ers over 5.1 innings and allowing 4 hits. Matt Shelton came into the game and again helped preserve the shutout by going an inning and allowing a hit. Joel Lima pitched the final 2.2 innings and allowed only 1 hit to finalize the shutout.
66ers's Pitching
Ty Kelley pitched 2.1 innings while allowing 1 hit in game 1. Starter, Mark Sappington earned the game 2 win after going 8 innings and allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. Relief pitcher, Michael Johnson allowed 1 hit in 1 inning of work in game 3.
Roster Moves
Pitcher, Pedro Baez has been activated off of the disabled list. Pitcher, James Campbell, who was doing a rehab assignment with the AZL Dodgers, has been sent to the Great Lakes Loons. Outfielder, Devin Shines has been placed on the disabled list. Taking his place is Outfilder, Bobby Coyle who was just removed from the DL.
Upcoming Games
The Quakes will be starting a 6 game home stand at LoanMart Field on Wednesday against the High Desert Mavericks then the Bakersfield Blaze. Game time for Wednesday is 11:35 am as it's set for a kids summer camp day. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday, Friday is Andre Ethier bobble head giveaway [FIRST 1,500 fans,1 per person per ticket], Saturday is firework night, Sunday is a 5:05 game with kids running the bases after the game, as well as a photo giveaway, and Monday is Social Media Monday.
