Quakes Weekly Roster Update

Starting pitcher, Ross Stripling has been sent to the Chattanooga Lookouts. In Rancho he ended up with 2 wins and no loses. He had an ERA of 2.94 after pitching in 6 games and going 33.2 total innings. While in Rancho, he managed to strike out 34 batters and hold apposing players to a .198 batting average.

Closer, Michael Thomas was also promoted to the Lookouts. He played in 11 games and earned 9 saves for the Quakes. He threw 12.1 innings of relief, earning an ERA of 1.46. He struck out 17 batters and held them to a batting average of .184.

Utility player, Casio Grider was reassigned to the Quakes after going to the Great Lake Loons, the Lookouts, and then back to the Loons. Since returning to Rancho, Grider has hit 3 triples and a double while posting a batting average of .250 and has stolen 2 bases.

Outfielder, Rob Garvey (no relation to Steve) has been placed on the disabled list. Before going on the DL, Garvey was batting .255 with 2 doubles and 9 stolen bases.

Infielder, Elevys Gonzalez was also placed on the disabled list. Before going on the DL, he recorded a double, triple, and a home run, as well as stole 5 bases.

Pitcher, Ryan Acosta returns to the Quakes after starting the year with the Lookouts. In 11.2 innings pitched, he recorded 8 strikeouts in relief. He will be starting in place of Stripling. He will be wearing number 17 for Rancho.

Relief pitcher, Eric Eadington returns to Rancho after beginning the year in Chattanooga. He earned 2 wins in 8.2 innings pitched while striking out 10. He will be wearing number 46 for Rancho.

Outfielder, Bobby Coyle is also returning to Rancho from Chattanooga. In 21 games with the Lookouts, he hit a double and a triple and was walked 3 times. He will be wearing number 34 for the Quakes.
