JetHawks Sweep the Quakes

The JetHawks managed to take 3 of 3 in this series against the Quakes after the Quakes nearly swept the 'Hawks in their last head to head match up in Lancaster. The JetHawks managed to out hit the Quakes, 39-17. They did manage to rack up 16 hits in the final game after all. They also managed to out score the Quakes 25-10. 

JetHawk's shortstop, Joe Sclafani went 3-15 with a double. Center fielder, Andrew Aplin went 4-12 with a triple. First baseman, Telvin Nash went 3-15 with a double and 2 home runs. Right fielder, Preston Tucker went 6-11 with 2 doubles and 2 home runs. Catcher, Tyler Heineman went 3-11 with a double and an inside the park home run. Third baseman, Rauol Torrez went 5-8 with a double. Designated hitter, Chris Epps went 4-12 with 2 doubles. Third baseman, Matt Duffy went 3-5 with a double. 

Rancho's center fielder, Noel Cuevas went 4-11 with a double and a home run. Left fielder, Bobby Coyle went 1-8 with a double. First baseman/designated hitter, O'Koyea Dickon went 4-12 with 3 doubles and a home run. Third baseman, Ryan Mount went 2-11 with a double.

I previously mentioned, in an earlier blog post, the Piggy Back System used by the Astros. In this series, the JetHawks only used 8 pitchers, none more than once, while the Quakes used 11, and used one two times. Game 1 winner, Aaron West went 5 innings and allowed 1 hit. Game 2 winner, Brady Rodgers also went 5 innings and allowed 2 hits. Game 3 winner, David Rollins went 4 innings and allowed an earned run, but no hits. Relief pitcher, Michael Dimock also had a good outing in game 3, going 1 inning and not allowing a hit. 

Quake's relief pitcher, Freddie Cabrera went 1.1 innings without allowing a hit in game 1. Pedro Baez allowed 1 hit in .2 innings in game 3. Eric Eadington allowed 1 hit in 1 inning of work in game 3.

The Quakes will now head to Bakersfield for a 4 game series against the Blaze with a guest appearance by Hanley Ramirez. A date has not been specified, as to when he will play, possibly Friday, but he himself has announced an appearance in Bakersfield. The Quakes will return home 6/3 for a 3 game series with the Inland Empire 66ers.
